The idea for Daniel Wellington began with a chance encounter during a trip around the world. Daniel Wellington's founder Philip Tysander meets an interesting British gentleman whose impeccably perfect but unpretentious style stood out. The man enjoyed wearing vintage watches on old NATO straps. The man's name was Daniel Wellington.
Inspired by the man's elegant style, Philip decides to create his own watch line. The replaceable strap and the minimal and stylish classic design watch were enough to be loved by many. A few years later, this design has established itself as a symbolic element that makes Daniel Wellington special.
