Tamara Melon, who worked as an accessory reporter for the British version of Vogue in 1996, entered the off-the-shelf business and discovered Mr. Jimmy Choo, who was making couture shoes based in eastern London.
After opening its first boutique in London, Jimmy Choo, led by Tamara, opened its first boutique in New York in 1998 and the first in Los Angeles in 1999, and began to grow rapidly through word of mouth by young Hollywood stars.
