ㆍWhen picking up your purchase, make sure to check the product’s physical condition at the pick-up location. If there is a problem with your purchase, you must notify the employee immediately.
※ Once you have received the product, please check it for any defects or problems. Imported products cannot be exchanged or refunded and can be repaired only via after-sales service.
ㆍNotification on exchanges and refunds
1. A product picked up from the pick-up location may be refunded or exchanged within 15 days of having picked it up.
It cannot be refunded or exchanged in the event of one of the following.
- The product has been damaged or lost due to a reason for which the customer is responsible (excluding damage of packaging for the purpose of verifying what is inside).
- The product’s value has decreased significantly due to its use or partial consumption by the customer.
- The product’s value has decreased to the point that it cannot be re-sold (due to passage of time).
- Packaging was damaged for a duplicate product.
- The product has been seized at customs, in accordance with relevant laws, because a Korean citizen exceeded the USD 5,000 purchase limit and USD 800 duty free limit.
The following do not indicate a faulty product. Please note that you may not be able to exchange or receive a refund for a product based solely on one of the following reasons.
- Wrinkles and/or grain of leather that are inherent to that type of leather
- Minute scratches that occur during shipping
- Damage to packaging caused during inspection of parallel import
- Finish and/or stitching not identical to those of another identical product due to having been made by hand
※ Because luxury goods are often handmade, they may not all be 100% identical (like manufactured goods).
2. If the product does not appear as it was advertised or contracted, it can be exchanged or refunded within three months of the date it was received (within 30 days of the date the customer was made aware or could have been aware of such discrepancy).
3. The procedure for exchanging or refunding a duty free item adheres to all relevant tariff laws.
- Price of the item to be exchanged or refunded is $601 or more : can be exchanged or refunded by sending a request via international mail or reporting the product at customs when re-entering the country
- Item to be exchanged or refunded is $800 or less : can be exchanged or refunded without the need for reporting or processing of the product or sending a request via international mail
※ If the product does not appear as was advertised or has a defect, HYUNDAI DUTY FREE - ONLINE MALL will be responsible for the costs incurred to exchange or refund it.
※ If exchanging or refunding a product due to a reason for which the customer is solely responsible (e.g. change of mind), the customer is responsible for the costs incurred to exchange or refund it.
- An exchanged duty free product must be 1) re-purchased according to the duty free purchasing procedures and 2) picked up at the pick-up location of the original departure gate.
- If you would like a refund due to a faulty product, please leave the product at the pick-up location (when departing) or at customs (when re-entering). (After the product is left at customs, it will be returned to the duty free store from which it was purchased).
- If a Korean citizen requests a refund via international mail, he or she must submit an official document (e.g. proof of residence) that proves his or her long-term residency overseas.
4. Refunds are made to the mode of payment used at purchase.
The refunded amount will, in the event of one of the following, be sent to the bank account registered under the name of the individual leaving the country that was listed when applying for cancellation.
- Cancelled the month after payment via small-scale mobile payment
- Cancelled 30 days after payment via bankbook-free wire transfer
5. Warranty policy
Customers who have a warranty may, within six months of the date of purchase, receive free after-sales services for faulty manufacturing.
If, however, it is determined that the faultiness was caused by the customer’s inattentiveness, even if the warranty period is not yet over, the customer will be required to pay for repairs.
If you request after-sales service, the store employee will determine the scope of the required repair and whether it can be provided free of charge.
Warranties are not re-issued. Please keep the warranty in a safe place with the purchase receipt.
This warranty is valid only in Korea. All after-sales services must be done in Korea.

Payment Points
1. A product can be exchanged or refunded within 15 days of pick-up. It cannot be refunded or exchanged in the event of one of the following:

ㆍAll products purchased through HDDFS are duty free. They can be purchased only on the condition that they are taken out of the country (e.g. to be used overseas, to give as a gift for someone who lives overseas). Duty free shopping is unavailable for all travel within Korea (including Jeju-do).
ㆍOnly customers who are 14 or older may shop (register for membership or make a non-member purchase) at HDDFS.
ㆍDuty free purchases must be made after having logged in with the ID of the person who is leaving the country. ※ According to the regulations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) on preventing explosive liquids from being brought onto a plane, liquids and gel-type products are permitted onboard in limited quantities only. Please keep this in mind when making your purchase.※ Products that require a lithium-ion battery of 160Wh or higher cannot be included in carry-on luggage. Because regulations regarding lithium-ion batteries vary among airlines and countries, please make the relevant inquiry to the airline in advance of your flight.

ㆍThe transparent, tamper-evident bag may be opened only after arriving at your final destination. If there are traces of the bag having been opened or damaged, it will not be allowed to be brought onto the plane.
※ For stopover flights
ㆍRestrictions on the purchase of liquids and gels that can be included in carry-on luggage vary by layover and final destination. Please check the rules for your particular layover and final destination in advance.
ㆍIf a liquid or gel product is taken to a layover location that does not permit the purchase of liquids or gels, HDDFS will not take any responsibility for the purchased product. Please keep this in mind when making your purchase.
ㆍWhen transferring to another airline, the security regulations of the relevant country may entail the seizure of liquids. Please make inquiries to the relevant airline in advance.
ㆍAs a rule, liquids and gels must be transported inside luggage. Even if the product is unused/new, if it is not carried in a luggage bag, it will not be allowed on the plane.
ㆍPersonal items may be brought onto a plane only if they satisfy the following regulations regarding carry-on personal items.
- Example 1 : Layover in the US
Liquids and gels in opaque or metal containers are not permitted on the plane. Only products in transparent containers are permitted.
- Example 2 : Destination of a layover flight is in a US or Australian territory, Canada, or the Virgin Islands

※ Regulations on In-flight personal items
ㆍOnly items inside a transparent ziplocked bag (1L) are permitted.
ㆍQuantity limit: 100ml or less per container. A total of only 1L of product is permitted.
ㆍThe transparent ziplocked bag must be approximately 20cm in length and width. The bag must be zipped closed in order to be brought onto the plane.
ㆍIf the transparent ziplocked bag is not completely closed, it will not be allowed to be brought onto the plane.
ㆍEach passenger may bring only one transparent ziplocked bag (1L or smaller) onto the plane.
ㆍAny quantity of baby food or medication in liquid/gel format, if it is reported to the TSA agent in advance, may be brought onto the plane.
